However, FJ and Uncle Ho (MyFX) are 2 examples of people that dont fit this genre but fit into the forum well as well respected members.

Sadly this accident has claimed it's fourth victim.

The 11 year old girl has died in hospital yesterday.

    I'm left speechless and saddened.

    And a quote

Ms Meldrum said fatal accidents involving Britz campervans were a rare occurrence and the company had been shaken by the crash.

Probably as they are visitors to the country they have to move quickly, but they are not wasting time. The driver has been charged.

Sad as all hell, but I can bet any money that these people will be remembered forever, and their passing, although tragic, will bring light and even more goodwill to this beautiful tradition.

Out on bail and to be sentenced on the 19th.

It doesn't bring back the riders, but she should expect to be jailed.

This is one of the saddest things I have read hear and deep condolences to all the families involved.

I believe the design of vehicles contributes to this type of crash and I blame manufacturers for cars with poor dynamics such as 90s Commodores and Falcons for many deaths where a car has touched the gravel shoulder and spun colliding with other vehicles and road side objects.

There are vehicle stability measures incorporated into many cars and this can prevent this type of accident. It should also be available in hire vehicles such as this which will travel along narow and windy roads in New Zealand.

Manufacturers need to and can do more. Drivers will continue to make mistakes and technology is now available as well as better suspension design.

The drivers life has also changed by this split second error and no one could imagine what she is also going through.

If you have gone through this with a family member can you get some idea of the trauma these accidents take on everyone.

Not the first time I've heard about a tragedy in close proximity (or on) a charity ride....

The MAD ride this year crossed upon a major bike crash on the Freeway...

and about 6 years ago after the chrissy toy run a bike hit a car at 180kph on Tonkin.
The universe likes speed. Don't delay. Don't second guess. Don't doubt. When the opportunity is there, when the impulse is there, when the intuitive nudge from within is there, act.
