Got methylated spirits on my ram air tubes that turned to a white haze, couldnt get it off. So used very fine cutting compound now its a high gloss finish any way to bring it back to normal matte

scratch that, might go right thru or atleast make it brittle

Just a thought, but why not just wet sand it?

You could bead blast them after sanding smooth but no promises of how this will effect color, but the grit will give a matte finish.
Carbon fibre is easier and will look better, that's what I did.
