Alli welder wanted

I have in my back yard a GSXR , was purchased as a repairable write off,
to lift the write off statis it must be passed by an autherised inspecter only then can it be presented to the pits.
The dude in Gossy (inspecter dude) picked the steering stop as being bent, he is right of course.

My problem is getting someone to spot a weld on the stop to build it up.
My first thought was drill and tap it , run a small bolt there, the dude advised me against this, it must be welded

i have an alli mig at home but you really need a tig for that. let me know if you get stuck!(we have a alli tig welder at work i can use)
