there is a 1/2 or 1/4 (i cant quite remember) hole right in the middle...
put your rachet or (powerbar preferably) in & hive it hell..
they are usually so tight you dont think they are going to move but they do

Cheers - that will help heaps when I put the new belt on.
Ended up cutting the old one after deciding it was probably time for a new one (cracking & unknown history).
Put the new alternator in, tighten everything up, and go do to the wiring and they've given me one with different plugs. Fuckers...
You and motor vehicle electrics don't really seem to get along dude...
