I'm the very happy owner of an AXIO Swift hardpack. I bought it in late 2004 and has served me well for the (almost) two years that I've had it.
^^^^ that's my backpack there. I got it off www.laptopbags.com.au EDIT: which = rushfaster.com.au
BUT!! I was on eBay today and found THIS.
Tank bag hard packs!!!
You can get the specs here: http://axio-usa.com/downloads/tankbag.pdf
I won't be able to buy one of these, because I already have a backpack, but I do think they're really cool.

Those Boblbe-e hard packs are pretty cool too.
Bags Bags Bags
Maya I buy all my bags from rushfaster.com.au. Just bought a Booq python xl for my new 17in lappy and it is by far the best laptop 'backpack' I have ever owned.

Rushfaster and LaptopBags.com.au are now the same company - the website redirects.
But yeah, heard nothing but good things about Booq bags too. But i like my fake carbon fibre better!

Doh. I wanted something clean and simple like that when my old bag got wrecked in my acco.
Instead I was forced to buy this stupid bag with 11ty billion straps and cup/phone/ipod/pen holders

Hi Maya
the tank bags look great - can't find the capacity though - do you think they'll be adequate for a weekend away - jeans/t-shirts - couple of pairs of trainers??
Cheers
Zef

I have read in a review that duco colour ones scratch and show easily. The CF ones are harder to see scratches and can be buffed because they have thicker clear coat.

Hiya Maya,
Just on capacity, would your pack fit a 10L spare fuel tank? Does it have room to expand on the 'soft' side? Looking for an alternative to the chunky bag I use for TD's (oh, and I know its marginal to carry fuel on your back in any case) as I ride there, not trailer.
I've seen one similar on the wall at MC Pitstop a couple of months ago but never asked the price. Ran out of cash after the price hike on the Pirelli SCP's.

Would it fit a 10L spare fuel tank Colleen?
Just noticed that unless its a glitch, this thread was started in 2006, so Maya may not be watching to answer?

They are not waterproof.

Won't fit a 10L tank, no way. You can fit a laptop, a diary, a notepad and two Coke buddies and that's about it.
The pocket down the side, does expand into the hump a little, but its about 1L of space in total. I can't fit my riding glove into it.
Without a laptop, you could fit a jumper and a pair of shoes. It's not a terribly roomy backpack. It was designed as a true laptop bag.
Pix:
EDIT: Yes, I STILL have it, no rips, no tears, no problems. Coupla little scratches but its the best laptop bag ever. I've noticed that the new ones coming out arent quite the same, the quality has slipped a little. Still rate them highly!
