    Best colour for "bling"

    PSB,
Im trying to decide on a colour scheme for some of the "bling" i will eventually end up buying.
By "bling" I mean things like - braided brake lines, aftermarket levers, grips, valve caps, possibly bar ends, sliders etc.
Now ive found that most of this "bling" comes in anodised aluminium or similar finishes, and some of these colours can look down right nasty (metallic red )
Ive also found gold can be a hit and miss colour, as it can come in different "shades" of gold.
Carbon fibre finish can look ok if not overdone or have a cheap finish.

So PSB collective, what colours work well, what would you stay away from, and any suggestions for my specific colour scheme?

    Cheers

Work with the strong points of your bikes colours. Go silver for brake lines and black levers etc

Aye, as Solid said, work with what you've already got. You have mainly black with red and enough silver to break things up. Thusly, those 3 should be your options. Luckily for you, those 3 are all quite common, giving you lots of options. I would think lots of black with mostly red highlights (as long s it's not too much red) would work best with your scheme, but I have a kawasaki, so what the hell would I know about fashion?

Contrast is something to consider, i.e black bolts on red bodywork or red brake lines, etc. Anything that stands out will look good as long as you keep with a theme i.e black & red, etc.

Ti or silver rearsets will blend in with the swigarm (depending on how shiny it is)

    Black levers with red adjusters

    smoke/dark smoke/carbon smoke braided lines

Black grips possibly with red accents.

Bugger off the pillion pegs and get a carbon exhaust hanger & red cowl

Black sliders, bar ends and valves (get some 90 degree ones though)

Get some aftermarket indicators front & rear like some rizoma's etc (the only thing I don't like about most older sports bikes is the giant indicators, newer LED ones will be more visible and look way sharper)
Gutsy question. You're a shark. Sharks are winners, and they don't look back because they have no necks. Necks are for sheep.

SBK toy store. Rated R parts.

Better off deciding if you're gonna powdercoat anything first. Personally I wouldn't bother with powdercoating on that bike because of the aluminium swingarm. Unless you wanted that black in which case black rearets & pillion pegs too.

what? i didn't ask what others want, i asked for opinions on what colours work well, and suggestions on colour schemes. Fortunatly PSB has alot of knowledge and experience, bit hard to know what looks good without outlaying the $ beforehand. rc-sam's bike is a great guide for what works well.

I love how he has pimped his bike, not overdone. But what's up with the rear cowl? Looks like the black part has moved forward slightly

    I would

Powder coat/paint the swingarm to match the frame
    Black rear sets
Remove the silver stickers and replace them with a metallic charcoal - if you speak to Tim from WTF G&D he can show you the colour I mean
Smoke lines with black banjos - spiegler
Black ASV levers - black adjusters
Remove the pillion pegs and add sato tie downs in black

I would pm Amber from SBK Toy store on here and get all your parts from her. She has helping me source a lot of parts and is just fantastic to deal with.
Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

All we know is he's Hewie.

    Thanks Hewie,
    Some great idea's there.
Im liking the idea of powdercoating the swingarm black more and more. That might be the best starting point.
    Cheers
