    Bike engine tuning

    Hi Guys,

Im sure this subject has come up before, but looking at getting my gsxr tuned nothing extreme just want to tune the muffler and air filter in nicely. Was wondering what recomendations others have due to there experience and also what sort of costs are incured and the biggest question is it worth it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The normal option would be a PC V, then load a map off the PC website...

Then take it too someone and get a custom map...

    Stock air filters are fine...

    Is it worth it?

It will tidy up the fueling down low, you may notice a little rise in power...

    Horses for courses...

The big question is...can you ride it?

Is the money better spent on rider training to make YOU faster?

I've got the same bike, same pipe.
I also put on an XTRE which really helped with the lower revs and smoothed everything out.

Never seen the need for a dyno session, but if you go ahead and it works, let me know.

Ha ha probably the training would be better lol just waiting on a spot to open up for trakdayz always sold out... but yer in the mean time was looking at "tidying up" the fuel map more for the down low take off rather then the horse power gain.

They're a timing retard eliminator, to offset some manufacturers strangling of the bike at low revs.
Check out HealTech Electronics Ltd. - Makers of the SpeedoHealer, GIpro, X-TRE, FI Tuner Pro, OBD Tool
