Question Buying brake pads off ebay what should you look for ?

    Hi

Just wondering what brands to steer clear from with break pads i have seen a bunch of em out there im just chasing a cheap set i can fit my self for a zzr have seen a few brands that just look doogie

GOLD Fren Disc brake pads look doogie as do PN . X6

I went into ebay did a basic search for ZZR250 pads and came up with the following names

    FA126 Verah pads
    Metal gear
Paranoid Parts ( MAN Why the hell would you want paranoid brake pads is beyond me but i suppose when you buy washing detergent for the first time Sard kinda sounds strange also )

If any one out there in PSB can give me some advice i would be most thankful

    Cheers

Gold fren are good pads for the money. Fitted them to my kawaka and pulled up nice. Also they were recommended by a bike mechanic too!

Whats a Doogie?? You mean Dodgy?

As others have said Gold frens - OK

Had to buy some off Metal Gear recently for an Across, as I got sick of looking for the right ones from the other places, they have been OK as well, fast service too

Absolutely hated the goldfrens my ex-supplier threw on the bike without asking.

EBC-HH all the way now. But I'm thinking - it's a 250 with a 250's brakes, will you actually notice any difference anyway?

I always used EBC HH's on my BB until recently when I needed some like NOW and tried the MetalGear as they were a shit load cheaper than the EBC's from the shop They seem OK for "organic" pads with the limited use so far in winter I think I''ll order some HH's off the net though as backup/ replacement as they do seem better in really hard braking
