Well...like i've said before, I'm a fan of threads that document what mods people make to their bikes. Upon mentioning this, i got the call....picsorban.

And so....the beginning of the metamorphosis of the R6.
First mod made was the addition of the Power Commander. More in preparation for a new exhaust than adding performance to the stock bike.
I was stupid and didnt photo document its installation, which i was surprised to see was really easy. Step by step instructions with the unit made it super easy.

Next....well, I have my roommate designing, re-designing, fabricating, and re-fabricating my fender elminator. After 6-8 weeks on and off work in the evenings, Matt (of Octane Dreams Design) has come up with what i think is a winner. BMW car fender indicators and neons were ordered from the UK and aluminium was bought locally, and parts were milled and turned up on the drill press and lathe in the garage.

See what you think. Future plans are for neons, exhaust and ....and....well...the list goes on from there. Stay tuned.

    how good is this?
    i'm a fan

looks good... unless you are keen on using pillion seat, look heaps better without pegs!!!
However, FJ and Uncle Ho (MyFX) are 2 examples of people that dont fit this genre but fit into the forum well as well respected members.

Cheers fellas. Yea, a little bit of something different ey? I call it the bat-arang.

Its Matt's first piece for a bike, so he's stoked that some riders seem to like it

heh its your bike, definately better than the stocker.

    NOS![/b]
i agree, looks like you are supplying NOS to the tail lights. Wires are sufficient to supply electricity, maybe get your friend to design a NOS system for the R6 and recycle those expensive looking braided lines! They've obviously got the skills

And so the R6 evolution continues. In this case, its just the direct addition of bits.
On receiving a set of Oggy Knobs, through another great effort for a PSB group buy, I set to the bike with a fist full of allen keys.

    Before:
    RHS
    LHS

On the left hand side, the oggy knob just screws straight in, after you remove the engine bolt....so that takes about 1 minute to fit. Easy as piss.
    LHS Oggy

The Right hand side is a little more involved, but hardly exactly difficult. The engine/frame bolts are hidden behind the fairing and so all the was needed was to loosen the fairing off a little to get at the bolts.
    Fairing loose

Bolting the bracket on so that the fairing doesnt need to be cut and then back on with the fairing, and screw the knob (hahaha, he said knob) in.

    bracket
    RHS oggy

So, done and dusted after about 30mins. Niiiiiice

    The saga continues.....................
