Cleaning Forks - Which solvent is best ?

    Gday All

I was just wondering can anyone tell me the best way to clean forks ? and which sort of solvents are ok to use that wont damage the annodising and seals ?

I have a set of old forks I want to clean down before I store them.

    Cheers

Yep CT18 (truck wash) it also has corrosion inhibitors in it. I'd prolly also wrap them in plastic and cover them in Inox or something like that if it was for an extended period.

Wouldn't wrapping in plastic cause moisture issues MM ?

I've no idea about fork storage either but wrapping the hydraulic rams at work in plastic is a no go thing at my company not sure if there's another reason for that.

Guess the seals will dry out and leak after the first ride after leaving them on a shelf for a long time anyways won't they
