decided not to hijack bennys thread about clutches:

My clutch is actually a little suss too (actually, its quite suss). I think its gotta be from doing something wrong when putting it back together, coz my lever is now tighter than it used to be, even after playing with the adjustment. It slips about the same as benny's, from abou 8k, unless i wind the adjsutment in all the way, then itll only slip under pretty much full throttle, over 10k. Anyone got any ideas? its coming apart in the next few days, so i'll have a good look then.

Im sure it something i've done though-maybe springs might be dodgy from pulling them on/off? The bike wants to move forward with the clutch in, in gear, and its worse when its hot

Hmm.. Mine started doing that recently. Going to get the mechanic to take a look at it at it's 12,000k service soon. If it's still all up in the air then, I'll relay the results but so far I've just been told to tighten the clutch. Haven't noticed it after, but I wasn't looking to notice it so that's pretty useless to you.

I guess the best thing to do would be disassemble it again and check against a break away diagram, possibly in the workshop manual?

thats the plan, the workshop manual has a pretty good pic- only problem is that the clutch has a wierd nut on it, kinda has 4 holes that prongs go into- hard to explain
