    Dan Moto Exhaust - Opinion?

May or may not have just bought one -- but a fellow rider just remarked "Ask your PSB friends and see what they have to say!" --so that's what I'm doing. Opinions?

ive heard nothing but good stuff about them , considering the price anyway. ive had a few other items from danmoto such as gauges and brake systems and they were decent quality and if i had an issue i send an email and within 24 hrs they reply with the answer to my problem. 1 thing i hear is they have nice welds on them.

Which one are you looking at mate?

I like the GP, looking at it for the track bike. A lot cheaper than the ~$400 yoshis

i got the twin carbon cans from Danmoto on my busa 2011, it sounds mad at idle, once get onto speed, it is not too loud.
i went for danmoto is because its cheap, 250 shipped, and i like the twin exhaust, and wanted to retain the original look, so i was thinking of R77 yoshi, but there were 900 shipped on ebay.

it sounds like a v8 at idle. i had a bit of a problem install it, but it was not major drama.

I know most of you have seen it (and probably sick of it).

Here is the Dan moto exhaust I fitted to my track bike after the first disaster (a very short pipe, 6" Long).

This Dan-moto was a great price, looks and sounds great (IMO), was easy to fit and still looks like new.

Other people say that their welding is crap, however, with my pipe I see no flaws and the weld is continuous and even.

I would recommend one for the track bike as you never know what could happen

Yeah think i'm gonna do it, can't go wrong for that sort of money. And at least with an exhaust, people will know that the bike is on...

Deano, that reminds me. Do not overtighten the clamp (pictured) the bolt does not take much stress to break. I know because I was a little heavy fisted.

Haha ninjaa, that's the same job I've had on the bike for about 8-9 months now. I've just thrown on some tank grip and one other sticker since that photo was taken. Thought you would of noticed with the amount of times you pass me

Arrived & installed; sounds good(ish). A little bit concerned about the below though.
See the circle; is that going to wear? Have I mounted this incorrectly? (Really there was only one way to mount it that would fit though). It also gives me pause that it's not straight, see second photo.

What are your thoughts? I didn't want to force anything too much for fear of it bending/breaking.

Oh by the way -- don't ever buy a bike without the capability of adding swingarm spools. I took my bike to Honda, they gave me a stand with padded lifters that just lift the bike from the bottom of the swingarm -- the fucking thing slips because it's not the right width; long story short I now need to buy a new mirror. Never using that fucking stand again.

    Werdz....
if it's mounted from your pillion brackets can't you add a spacer to kick it out a bit? even a couple of washers
I wouldn't leave anything rubbing on your swingarm

For anyone about to buy one, I cannot stress this advice enough. You weren't heavy fisted; I'm a weak prick (ask anyone; everybody knows) and even I managed to break the damned thing.
