The trip meter on the cluster is reset to zero when you take it off. I changed mine to green a while ago, with a red "redline", looks mint

Are blue LEDs still so much more bright than other colours?
Looking at the above photos, the blue gauge is brighter than the oil light, but the orange and red is much more dull than the oil light.
I don't know if I could stand extra bright blue dash backlights.

here is a step by step for installing the led's into a VFR..
the operation is the same for all dashes..
there are links to a US site that does it for you.. and links and references where to buy the bits to do it yourself..
Blue Gauges For Less - VFRD
List of bikes this company does...
Bluegauges.com - Backlighting Index

Alrighty...
WELL I was pretty stoked when my LEDs rocked up yesterday arvo.. Went and saw Joker last night... a while later... this was the end result.
Over pleased with the result... thanks heaps bro!!!
The blue totally rocks out over that damn orange!!
It looks REALLY blue and bright in the pic, but its about the same as the one on the first page... just mine has a black background, not white.

Before...
*drumroll*

After
Changed my mind about greening the bottom half, might go white with it at a later date.
Thanks Joker!
