    Ducati major service time...

Walked into a few bike shops today as its time for a major service...Prices ranged from $700.00 to $1100.00 ...Well its to be expected I guess...Otherwise if I dont get it done , something else could go wrong and it could cost me a shit load more...

At least it will be a piece of mind riding around knowing the ol gal (ST4) is running well...I enjoy the country runs and ive seen a few things go wrong with others so better be safe than sorry , still theres no guarentee hey...

Just thought I would share this with you...The ol gal is starting to take the form of something special as I'm adding some colour and improving the performance...

Everyone has there own opinon about Dukes and I'm no different...You either lov em or hate em...

    Cheers

Hi Mosh - I'm interested, apart from the obvious two Duc shops in Perth, who else did you go to locally?

Desmo - I knew about Pro-Twin - do you know if they can do warranty work or if their services will void warranty?

Not sure mate, best ring to ask, but as with most certified mechanics, it shouldn't void your warranty.

Yes i would have to agree...He shortned my standard pipes by around 4 inches and played with the baffles and she sounds great so ive been told , it sounds different when you actually riding the bike to being on the street...The pipes look like they have not been touched...Great...

I'm chasing some carbon fibre bits along with a carbon rear hugger , no joy there yet...He has a few bits and bobs as well to offer...

It's so hard to find someone you can rely on and trust in this industry to work on your bike and know what they say they will do and actually do the work...I'm no mechanic and i dont pretend to be , so honesty is number one along with consistancy...Justin is all that...

He probly won't get his head through the door if he reads this...hehe..You cant deny the truth though...I have to say it as i see it...

It's nice to see people take pride in there work...

    Cheers

    Cheers

If you've been doing burnouts the major services cost more

Is ST4 on that "change the belt every two years or else" regime?
Click here to see my Ducati 999R in the PSB garage... You'll love it!

Don't click here to see my ZX9R aka The Ginger Ninja... there's no link!

I pulled up at the servo on mine, and a heap of Rockingham teens in their commonwhores suggested I might need to put some oil in it.
