Everything is back in. Ran the multimeter over the battery before start. Got about ~14.3 V. Started her up, brought the revs up to about 5000 rpm or so. Reading dips a little to about ~13.4 V. So it seems like it's running all ok

Does anyone recommend I go over and check anything before I start to put everything back together?

I was thinking maybe using some contact cleaner and grease on the reg/rect connector but that's all I can really think of so could use some more suggestions

Just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the thread and offered to help out. Couldn't have done this without you.

No worries at all, you were helping me out. I learned something too so it was well worth it.

Bike is still offline though (needs a thorough clean and an oil change). I'm hoping the stator/electrical system issues are dormant for at least a few more years
