Thumbs up Excellent source for quality electrical connectors

    G'day Gang,

I've been working on a cb750 ex-police project bike and ended up doing a lot of re-wiring. As a consequence I've had to replace a lot of connector plugs in the loom. I couldn't source anything better than the narva plastic blocks, but the wiring or terminals tended to pull out fairly quickly if I had to connect/disconnect them more than a few times. And they were ugly. Turning to google I stumbled across this site:

Corsa Technic, LLC Motorsport Connectors, Motorcycle Connectors, Sensors

These guys offer high quality plugs, some of which are apparently OEM on late model sportsbikes. Price for the 6 pin size was also comparable to buying the crappy narva ones from supercheap/repco/etc. I ordered a bunch (about a dozen plugs), postage was $5.66 from the US (yep, under six bucks).

About four weeks later they arrived in a sturdy UPS box, all individually bagged and labelled. Unfortunately I was missing a few plugs which I didn't discover until about a week after they turned up. I emailed corsa-technic and got the following reply:

    Hello Craig,

Sorry for the error. It was our fault that one of each was sent instead of two.
The missing items are being mailed today via USPS Express Mail under tracking number# EI292368766US
You should see them within a week this way.

    Sorry for any inconvenience.
    Regards,

    Alex Kalempa
    Corsa Technic

The missing items were in my hand a week later.

All in all I was extremely impressed with the product, pricing and service I received. If you need to replace old connectors, are modifying a loom, or even making one from scratch I couldn't recommend these guys highly enough. I will certainly be ordering from these guys again.

Hopefully this is of use to some of you.

    Bowie

bookmarked thanks always handy to be able to find that stuff instead of trying to keep bullet/spade connectors and cheap plugs tidy.
Do you remember the good old days before the internet?

when arguments were only entered into by the physically or intellectually able.

    Bikes too complicated these days.
Solid soldering iron heated on gas stove. Tin of flux, insulation tape and pray for fine weather.

Thanks for this Bowie did you by chance happen to use any PVC harness shield (flexible PVC tube to protect wiring loom) in your rebuild. I'll be buggered if I can find any.
