If you're a girl and want access to the kitchen check HERE
Cost me about $16 all up from bunnings. Sandpaper, gloss paint and really small brush included.
Not what your looking for?

I was being dead serious. Probably want to check the quality of the work possible though. I'm going to paint my bike this friday night (again) so I could find a digital camera and take some before and after shots. It's not perfect, but its not bad.

You can get a variety of nozzles for the spraycans too, not sure if bunnings have them, but most paint shops do. The right one can make the end result a lot better.I was being dead serious. If it's a candy red, you're best getting a pro to do it. Vitech in Welshpool are about the best from what I've heard and seen, but there's probably cheaper out there.i dont really trust myself to paint it!!!

a candy is a little harder to spray, but you could do all your own prepwork (sanding etc) to make it cheaper. i cant see the spraypainting being more than $50 or so
If cleanliness is next to godliness, why was jesus a dirty sandal-wearing beardo?
Yeah like the guys say. With my bike it's just black, I know if I scratch the black I paint black back on there, very few shades of black but with your colour being "unique" enough to require a fruit description, you'd want to get it done professionally. Mostly because I don't trust the bunnings colour match machine after it was given a white doorframe and said it was a pink paint.

taylor, candy is a specific type of paint, rather than a colour, which is what makes it hard to paint

Candy paints usualy have the colour mixed in with very fine silver fleck eh?
I love two strokes. Because they annoy the shit out of people.
ohhh, Sorry dude I had only read as far as her post saying it was "cherry red", with me having no idea what "cherry red" is to distinguish it from real red.taylor, candy is a specific type of paint, rather than a colour, which is what makes it hard to paint[/b]

Yay, you found a fairing.
1 litre tin of Flat colour (non metallic, non candy etc) 2pac = $110, covers a complete set of MC fairings twice over quite generously. plus another $50-70 for incidentals, thinners, hardener, putties/bog, emery paper.
The biggest part is make sure the fairing is 100% before the final/colour coat is applied, painting is 95% prep and 5% spraying, put the time in to sand and fill any imperfections and you will get a good result. the spraying part is easy if you decide to do it yourself.

Nah... but do you know who will... SOMEONE WHO WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A PROFESSIONAL QUOTE BECAUSE THEY DO IT FOR A LIVING... so maybe one or two people on the forum..
Give them a call and i'm sure you will get a more appropriate estimate than the above.. (well, except browny05 who was at least helpful)

Depends how good a job you want really. I just painted some race glass, came up pretty nice. There is a paint supply in Malaga, will color match your paint and put it in a spray can $25 a can, 2 would be more than enough for a top fairing, $15 for a can of clear to go over the top as paint in pressure packs is acrylic, $10 for a can of etch primer to go over fairing after you have rubbed all the black primer off, you can garuantee its not etch primer and they didnt rub it before they primed it so it will flake off.
Go eat a box of dicks nath, Taylor and myself were both helpful.Nah... but do you know who will... SOMEONE WHO WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A PROFESSIONAL QUOTE BECAUSE THEY DO IT FOR A LIVING... so maybe one or two people on the forum..

I can tell you now your looking at around 300 dollars for a spot on job and that's a cheap price. Candy red is sprayed most times over a silver or metallic pink base ,matching candys can be hard especially if they have to be matched edge to edge, there is no way a non profesional will get this type of paint right (candy is a dye not a paint). Best save yourself some agro and take it to the pro's.a candy is a little harder to spray, but you could do all your own prepwork (sanding etc) to make it cheaper. i cant see the spraypainting being more than $50 or so[/b]
Its cherry red, not candy, different kettle of fish altogether
Cherry, easy. candy, as the people who cant be arsed reading the relevant posts have said, bit more hassle
Are you wanting painted Road going fairing or Track day type fairing?
222 Loctite doesn't taste too bad.
