    Gear linkage rod

    Hi all,

I want to change over the shift pattern on the bike as I found it more comfortable running reverse shift on the R1 and race bike, however the linkage rod on current bike is too long and doesn't allow me to just swap round. Anyone know where I might be able to get a shorter one made up? Without the proper tools it's not something I can do myself. 076.JPG

PM Paulmac (I think), I got some sealed linear bearings (the linkages on the end) from him a while back (trying to keep the Barbagello sand out), nice bloke, really helpful, & might have summat on the shelf. Can't remember the business name but it's Welshpool way.

I would work out how long you want it and then take the original to a machine shop and get them to make a new one that looks like the original...

You don't want to spoil the look of the bike and it won't cost that much...
