Erm... -anyone fancy trying to get a VT250 from the jurrasic era started for me?

I went round to Larrys house last night to go buy it, and lo and behold the thing will not fire up.
It will turn over. but no go.
The old dog is in poor shape, but essentially she's all there.
Its a project bike, so we are not to bothered on looks.

Hey, look its probably something basic, but I need like an hour of someone ( ameteur mechanic ) who can do the basic checks to make sure its just because its been stood a while and neglected / old, and that all it needs is a clean / tune / new plugs, fresh oil, and a bit of TLC.

I am looking for - you know the stuff, whip out a plug, check we have spark, prime the carbs or blow the old shit through them, check for kryptonite or what ever mechanics do...

All I need is a go / no go decision on wether its worth the hassle, or its not worth owning as its just totally junk.

Its for a pal of mine, who wants to custom it into a cafe racer. he can do body stuff and buy the gear and that, just not work on the engine, we are both muppets at that stuff.

The bike is leederville, and would be looking at trying maybe thursday night or over the weekend. could be a carton in it for a have a go hero.
