Helmet/Bike Cams
I have looked at some of the old topics on helmet cams already but couldn't find an answer to my question.
I was just wondering what cams people are using on their bikes and how the quality is? Would you recommend it? Also has anyone used theirs on a quad or dirt bike and do they still work as well or is their too much vibration from the trails etc. Also where can you get these cameras from apart from online? |

there are a few out there. Are you looking for a flash based camera (usually cheaper but not as good quality or are you looking for a MiniDv Camera with a 520 line camerea that will do dvd quality.
Be prepared to be shocked at the price. I was looking into them but could not justify the cost. Dingo has the hookup with Launch Helmet Cams, good cameras and their casings are awesome, but you still need a recording device

A quick search for the Oregon Scientific cameras (ATK 2000, I think) will show someone here was flogging them through his work for a couple hundred or so with a 2GB card.
I had one. It's nicely waterproof, lightweight, simple and cheap. Only downside is trying to line it up with such a small field of view - I shot a lot of footage of the sky or the road going past. If you are gonna get one, it would be well worth your investment to strap a laser pointer on the side so you can line things up properly.

Vholdr looks the goods but is still expensive and the oregon one is useless when things get rough, we used it on the dirtbike a few times and the footage is pretty crap
