Crippo.

depends if you want rider pillion or bike to bike
we had the Nolan N-com for rider pillion and found it to be great blue-tooth to the phone and wire for the mp3 sound quality when talking or on the phone is great and can set volume of Mp3 and chat with pillion over the top of it cuts communication if the phone rings and can also use voice dialing on some phones.
down side need to have N-com compatible helmet and range is quite short think the new one is 150m
when the wife is riding we use Sena smh10 has better sound quality than the Nolan and a longer range best part of a K but quality is diminished out at that distance can stream music but only operates a single channel at a time, so no chatting and music have to pick one or the other and phone calls cut out the the other 2.
got the Nolan from helmet house years ago and the Sena from a local mob called adventure cams
both have good battery life will easley last all day the jog dial button on the Sena shits me might just be how it mounts on my helmet but it hist my shoulder and switches channels.
Using a Cellular Line F4 Bluetooth thingy at the moment, stereo music good for up to about 180km/h, range between units is 500 metres line of sight. Works with voice commands on the phone, easy to fit and you don't notice it's there comfort-wise. Volume gets louder with speed too. ~$250 from your local motorbike shop. I love it to bits.
Thanks guys will look into all advice.
Didn't here then

Depends what you want out of a system, a BT headset s OK for solo rider/R-P, a full system is more likely for multiple B-B and all the extra voices in your head![]()
HMMthis is usually NOT explained to people when looking at BT headsets
I spend lots of time having to explain this AFTER people have already bought them. Some can do more than 2 people but usually not all at once, one has to choose which other to speak to and the others cant chat amongst themselves either.
Group chat over 5km's and more = UHF either just UHF or added to a system for music/intercom/phone/GPS etc etc.
2 people only talking to each other over 1k absolute max = BTS headset.
SCALA G4. Intercom with a couple of others with phone music etc as well
Gutsy question. You're a shark. Sharks are winners, and they don't look back because they have no necks. Necks are for sheep.
Using the Blueant F4 Interphone atm, and it's fantastic.. Crystal Clear stereo headphones for blue tooth music, phone calls and bike to bike comms. Voice Nav is also great. Auto adjusts as wind/bike noise increases as well as easy manual adjustments. Simple to use, definitely recommend it!

love this unit. clear on bluetooth to phone. when people call me i just yell something and it'll answer the call, the person calling won't even realise i'm on the bike. also it automatically adjusts volume according to wind noise. rider to pillion or rider to another rider is clear and tested to 1.2 kms (rated to 1.7 kms i think). just forget to hook up the antenna if it's to another rider.
i am yet to figure out the 6 people conference thing. 3 riders is easy to figure. the manual is simple and straight forward but i don't quite get the sequence.
what are the speakers like in the f4?
good sound? i have a pair of interphones, the quality of the speakers is pretty much can on string for music.. :/
are they thin and comfortable? the boss will tear me to shreds if they press and hurt her ears :/

They took a fair bit of setting up for me to get them to be as ... 'not there' as possible.
But there were some pretty uncomfortable moments. They're (using my finger pinchy ruler) about 7-10mm thick...
The sounds is OK. It's never going to be bassy.
I actually think voice conversations are better than music.
But the music is certainly enough to make the ride enjoyable - Volume on full volume is OK with ear plugs in.
And too loud without them.
Never had a bike to bike convo.
I never ride without my F4
Sound quality from the stereo F4 speakers is more than adequate imo. enough bass to not sound tinny, and nice enough to make me look like a fool bobbing my head to the tunes at lights... hahah I use mine daily with no ear soreness, though i need to 'adjust' the earlobes slightly while putting on the helmet. One thing i noted though, i have a shoei which has cut outs for the ears, my mate with a shark didn't have these and found the speakers uncomfortable when he used my second unit.

I've got a BMW helmet and it has a recessed area for speakers so comfort on my Cellular line f4 is great. Sound quality is a big improvement over the previous version. Only slight niggle is that it needs to "wake up" each time an instruction is received from an app. E.g. I use Trapster to warn me of hazards, cameras etc but I will hear ....one or ....amera instead of school zone and speed camera, since the start of the message is clipped by the unit waking up. I've only used whereis for route guidance once but had the same issue with the start of the direction being clipped.
