HELP!! With VTR Exhaust

HELP. I just installed an exhaust on my VTR and have been testing it out this week. The bike is much louder now and sounds awesome, especially when banked over in a bend hard on it. The problem is though, the bike won't go more than $1.40 now. I'm wondering if the Sikaflex might be affecting the exhaust somehow? Or do I need to run 98 fuel on account of the additional horsepower?
