    hyo gt250 vibration

    Hi all,

i've recently purchased an 09 hyo gt250 from a fellow psber and i do love it! Best bike i could have gotten for the price.

When i'm at around 5-6k revs there's a noticeable vibration as if it's hitting the bikes natural frequency or something. I didn't have this with my old bike so i'm just wondering if it's normal because i'm often sitting at 5k revs and the vibration goes all the way up my arms :p

    ideas?

I get the same on my Hyo mate, i think its just the harmonic frequency around 5500rpm. Usually just change gear or accelerate (decelerate if you wish!), and use your legs to take the pressure of your hands a bit.

No parts have vibrated off of mine in 6 months so far!

I figured out the vibration a while ago but only just got around to writing about it. If anyone has the 09 and possibly the 2010 gt250 than it's the wind shield that has a natural frequency of around 5500 rpm and mine was vibrating against my speedo on the left. All i did was put a little circular rubber bit in between and now it works perfectly and no more vibration. Just a tip for anyone that's had the same problem

I had the same problem with my 07 GT 250R. That fixed my vibration too. Only just saw the post or might have been able to save you some investigation
