Question Knee Sliders/Pucks: Types, Pros and Con's

After only two tuning sessions at AHG my knee sliders/pucks are almost gone. It has got me thinking about the different kinds available since I now have to buy some. I'm very keen to hear what the race kings... & queens have to say about them. I know veeeeery little about the types and the pros and cons associated with each one so i'm all ears If you know of a website or somewhere local here in perth that sells them for a good price then feel free to share.

    Thanks!

I've got sets for $20 a set. They're used by Team WTF Racing up at the track. Based on use by Col, they last longer than the standard ones on Berik Leathers, and arn't as harsh as the WIZ ones. I've had a set on my leathers for 12 months, and they last pretty well.

But then I am trying to sell them. It all comes down to what type of feel you want.

WIZ ones are a very hard compound, but wear relatively quickly. They're also pretty expensive.
Dainese ones are softer, and slightly cheaper, but wear quite well.
Joe Rocket ones are hard, and wear quit well.

Most of these are all $50+ a set.

It all depends on your use. If you just push you knee into the track like your avatar suggests, no slider will last a long time, unless you get the Dainese Ceramic ones, however they are $130+ a set, and very hard to get.

If you just touch your slider down to gauge lean angle, they will last a lot longer.

Hmmm ok. I've got no idea what kind of sliders are on the pants atm, they are the ones that came with the suit when brosef bought it over 5yrs ago haha. They are nice and smooth along the road which is what i'm looking for. I'd hate to have ANY grip on a slider. I try not to dig my knee into the ground heaps and just use it as a gauge as you said but I like to keep it in contact with the ground all the way through the corner. Also because i'm relatively new to scraping the sliders I'd much prefer to wear through a couple of sets and get use to doing so than being a pro and just touching the road first.

I was just very surprised how quickly these ones wore away. Maybe the fact they were 5,6,7 + yrs old contributed I don't know?
