    Lumpy Idle

OK, I just finished installing a pair of Leo vinci slip-ons and Akro Y-pipe yesterday. I had the graves slip-on map set on the PC3 and found it idled really lumpy (basically going between about 1100rpm to 1300rpm). So tonight I put a new map on which I got from the powercommander site for the akro slipons and y-pipe because its the closest I could get to what I had and it still idles really lumpy. According to the PC going from ~1090rpm to ~1370rpm. Its ok when riding its just at idle

So question is...Apart from going and getting it dyno'd is there anything you'd suggest. The O2 sensor is still connected.

Neils just upset his garage only likes to eat Krapasakis.

Is this when you first start the bike because the choke cycle always comes in on startup, how long are you running it for before checking the idle situation.

I know this sounds simple but how clean is the air filter, with the computer control idle that could cause issues and is the O2 sensor unplugged, that will help things.

Its after its warmed up. if I've been riding for 5min or so, after the auto choke lets the revs go back to "normal"

I'll have a look at the air filter, wasn't serviced too long ago so should be ok but I'll check it out.

The O2 sensor is plugged in and screwed into the t-pipe.

OK, seems like the O2 sensor needs to go. Just gotta figure out how to do that when I get home.

Easy as, one 2-wire lead, just under the fuel tank. DynoJet recommend you disconnect the O2 sensor. Can then either remove the sensor completely and put a bung in it if you have one, or just leave it sitting in there, no drama's. A bit of lump sounds good too, as arwon mentioned, esp when they're on choke. Sounds hawt.

Oh, it does that nicely even with a lumpy idle.

    Bugger.

Well disconnected the O2 sensor and still does the same thing. Tried it with 2 maps and both do it. The full system leo map is worse. Akro with y pipe is the best but still varies a good 200 rpm

You don't have a leak in there somewhere do you ? Maybe just go over all the piping to ensure everything is nice and snug, also check all your hoses etc up around/under the fuel tank and so forth. Random thought, but just in case something is a smidge off or pinched or vac leak etc. I lost two nuts off one of the header flanges once and it caused the bike to sound/perform rather wierdly as it was leaking; at idle sounded a bit crappy but opening it up it tidied up.
