Number plate fitting drama on a honda CBR

    Hi Guys,

Just having a few dramas trying to find a nice way to attach my number plate to my bike.

I have recently installed a tripage LED tail light which fits perfect in the tail piece.
So I removed the existing light which previously sat under the exhaust and had a bracket for the number plate too.
Now it's gone i'm happy (looks much better) but just having troubles attaching the plate again because theres an exhaust there!?
Has anyone else had problems like this / or has any ideas to help me?

    Cheers

Well you normally hang it with your rear reflector and plate light, along with the mud flap, so why not hang them under the exhaust?

So long as you know that's yellow sticker city....

A bracket can me made, and mounted from the indicator mounts. Bring it down around the muffler, and bolt to that.

Like I said though, that current set up is cop bait.

    Fuck that looks big there.
I would myself like to see a shorter can, but thats just me.
You could make a bracket that sweeps undet the can and connects to the indicator mounts.
EDIT = Beeten like a (insert breife graphic description of violance here)

Not sure but if the TL is the grey looking section under the tail cowl over the exhaust then cars not seeing it and him getting rear ended is a bigger problem +1 on what Shan said about the cans looking too big

How visible is your brake light??? I worry enough about getting rear ended by some twat ( on bike or in the cage ) without making slowing down a secret!!!

Thanks guys, the bracket from the indicators is sounding like the go.
I found this one on the net but you have to buy everything with it in a kit!..
So I will have a crack at making my own and post up the pics.

I know what you's mean about the pipe too
As for the brake light i was concerned before i got it too, but its pritty damn bright after i compared it to the stock one - it just blends in when the bikes not on

    Red face

So after weeks of waiting for a license plate LED to arrive, i finally got it done and finished, and im pritty happy with the end result
I just went to bunnings and bought a 4mm thick strip of alley and carefully cut and bent it to shape. It was pritty simple and not much mucking around.
Then i wacked some carbn fibre vinyl on it to it wasnt so noticable.

Plate looks like it should angle down a little, maybe with you on the bike it does?
