    Hey all
    looking at buying a gsx250 across 93
only prob is it's been droped (in the driveway) and has sctarching down
the right farings and there is a dent in the exaust but i'm gonna replace that
    with a slip on.

what i kneed to konw is how much is it going to cost me to get that one pannel
    repainted/sprayed.
if pics are needed i can get them but it might take a lil while.

    Cheers Tickets

Just buy it and don't worry about the paint job ten to one you'll put more marks on it anyway's, maybe paint it later when you want rid of it.

Can you get it cheaper because of the scratches?

I bought a really nice GPX250 so that my son could ride and it now has a lovely scrape down the side and a cracked fairing near the indicator, oh well, it doesn't stop the bike getting used as cheap transport, just looks lived in you could say it's your stunting bike

well, i was told ( when i asked the same question about painting )

" If it doesnt have some scratches, it looks like you're not trying hard enough "

    I don't know if that's a bad thing... or a good thing...

dun worry about em, you'll get plenty of stones hurled at ya.. copped one in the knee yesterday from a bloody volvo driver ( damn those new 4wd volvo's ) coming down roe hwy..

Yeah, get it cheap, and sell it cheap - minimal $$$ spent and lost that way.

I bought a brand new bike earlier this year, and already it has a couple of light scratches on the tank, a few deeper ones on the left fairing, a dent and scratch on the exhaust (bloody cars) and had a mirror replaced. And I've been treating it like my pride and joy...

my advice, with paint is either leave it, and pretend it is meant to be like that.
OR leave it to the pros, there is no better way to mess up your ride, than trying to paint it yourself.
    do not do it.
(unless that is what you do for a living!)

    stay safe.

I've gotten two quotes to respray the scratches on my fairings. They aren't small scratches - two patches are bad , and one requires building up before spraying (it would be noticeably out of shape). The first quote was $500. He directed me to a guy he thought would be able to do it on the cheap, who quoted me $480.

Im going to keep looking and start pricing new fairings.

You may be able to go to a wrecker and buy the black plastics, if ya wanna be a stinge, but like people have said. It is highly likely you will drop it and for about 3k, on a 250 its really not worth it. Maybe look into it when your selling (after you have done your damage).
