Painting related: clear over paper clippings

ive got an idea, and whether it happens or not is a matter of 'is it worth it ?'
i have been thinking of getting vintage pin-up maganzines or playboys and
putting the 'hot' articles on my subject bike...
now ive heard of people using fiberglass resin to stick fabric it skateboards and
fuel tanks, and other various things... but can this be done with paper just being clear coated over..?
the other problem i thought of was the pictures fading in the sun under the
clear coat... so is there a UV rated clear coat?

any ideas, experiences will be of great help!

If it's done well and tastefully it has the chance to look good.
I'm betting it will look tacky though.

I'd be thinking that the clear coat may cause the pages to become transparent and the reverse side image to show. Like when you wet paper. Perhaps you'd be better of getting them transferred to vinyl or such? Could always perform a spot test or just go the whole hog and post results.

it wont matter if the clear is uv rated[yes they are] that pic will still fade in the sun
mass produced mag pics probably wont have uv stabilizers in them?

Have the images you want transferred to vinyl.

Paper will be destroyed by the process.
