Quick and easy connections for indicators?

Good day to you PSB collective. I'm now at the point where I have enough bits and bobs to start putting my zx9 back together. Given that the plan is to have her as a road legal track machine, I figure being able to pull the indicators off without too much fuss will be handy. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice on connections to use, where to buy stuff, horror stories of what not to do, if someone like me with very little electrical/mechanical aptitude do this himself or if there is someone to go and see to take care of it all without fussing about and wrecking stuff?

Given they will be switched to LED from bulbs, a place to pick up a relay/resistor/whatever and mounting advice would also be super handy, keeping in mind I am a numpty and have very little idea on electrickery shenanigans. If there is a how to thread that someone could point me to that exlains all this, that would be most appreciated as well.

    Cheers

Take a look at ratedR M/cycle parts eBay shop...I used their pre-made indicator leads to connect to my factory wiring harness on my Zook...made it easy as to connect/dis-connect.
They may have em for the Kwakka too.

G'day Drasius, happy to help you out where help is required - I have a fair amount of autoelectric experience, what connections, how to mount stuff so it's legal & not near any heat sources, etc. I get most of my connections from Jaycar but have most of the tools required. Hit me up with a PM regarding anything I can do to help.

For waterproof electrical connections I only use 'deutch' (if that's spelled correct).

Since most aftermarket indicators use bullet connectors, why not use the factory style bullet connectors with the clear sleeve? They last around 30 years. Avoid the cheaper red/blue/yellow non sealed ones though.

The front ones have nothing but a pair of very thin wires and the connectors/plugs on the front of the bike don't match anyway so I figure I'll do things right and make 'em all the same.

Cheers for the help and ideas all (except Phildo).

That was what I did with all my proddie racers. I used to ride the bike to work during the week and race it on sunday's. Put the male bullet on the positive wire to the indicator and the female on the negative for all four indicators (opposite of course for wiring back to the flasher box) and you don't even have to look when you are plugging them in.
