    Quick question. Clutch?

    Hey all,
first of all I did a search but my question wasn't really answered.
second, i'm a bit of a n00b, so the answer may be obvious...i dont know.
anyway, went for a bit of a spirited ride today (cbr250rr '99) cos the weather was so nice. On my way home, stopped at a traffic light. When it turned green, I went to take off like usual and the bike didn't seem to go anywhere? So gave it another rev and my clutch seemed to engage at a point a little further out???
So obviously, my first thoughts were "clutch...shit"
Well after that...the only difference seems to be that my clutch engages a little further out? and I have to rev a little harder for it to engage. Does this mean my clutch is worn? Took it out for a bit of a test on a highway and in 4th,5th,6th gear, upon increasing the revs the speed DOES seem to increase in a linear fashion (typical test for slipping clutch...right??), so the only difference I can notice is it's engaging further out mostly in first gear.
What dyou guys think? Is my clutch worn? or anything else?
    Cheers

accelerate hard in 1st or 2nd
if the revs dont rise lineraly with speed then you got clutch slip.
its more likely to do it in 1st or 2nd than the higher gears.

if its just that you have to let teh lever out further to reach the friction point, then its either your cable stretching, the cable adjustment either at the clutch end or at the lever has been moved/ come loose, or the clutch has worn (but may not be worn out)

dont get what you mean by "I have to rev a little harder for it to engage"
    Respect is earned, not enforced.
