    Good Review

I've got a Bel STI, I personally think it's the worst thing I've ever bought. It is useless at picking up multanova's and handhelds. Other people swear by them :S

does the sti have the ka narrow option ?

My 990 international works much better at picking up multanovas since i turned off ka superwide and turned on ka narrow (just the 34.3 setting)

Review was on the STI R, not to be confused with the STI. Iv had an STI as well and I agree 100%, crap on Multi's. Usually goes off once u are past it.

Well melkor did say that he picked up a fron facer, on the opposite side of the road, across 6 lanes and 2 train lines. I think it'd pick up rearfacers.

I picked up the camera in the vid heading the other way on ried hwy hence the reason I got the chance to double back to go through the correct way. This was across 4 lanes and a median strip. I recon it will work fine on reverse facers. When I get the chance I will film that too.

Thanks for the info all. Someone mentioned a helmet adapter for the Valentine detector - has anyone tried these? Good, bad?

my whistler pro 78 picks up cameras on the other side of the road (ie facing away) from about 150 metres away and reverse cameras about on my side about 200 metres away. I picked up a camera on the Kiwnana freeway last night facing oncoming traffic just as started to came onto the Narrows and the camera was in the middle section of where you can either go down left to west perth or around the long way if you are continuing on to Mitchell, which I think is about 350m up a hill and round a corner a bit, I was stunned

Have you had the same issues?

    Thanks.

    Thread revival time...

It's been a while now since the mobile cameras and handheld speed guns all went laser.

How good is the Valentine One? Is it still worth getting one?

i still swear by my V1 bit hit and miss on the rear facer but front facers laser or patrol cars no drams want to fit it to the bike for country runs been saved a lot on long weekends up round gerro the plods are always lurking in unmarked cars.
going to look at an anti laser for the bike with maybe a whistler just because the whistler is cheaper and almost as good.
