Radiator Guard

G'day,

I'm chasing a radiator guard for my '08 ZX6. I jumped on the Rad Guard website and they make the guards for about every model of the ZX6 except the 07/08. I emailed them to confirm this was the case, and they responded saying that it was.

Looking to other options, I found this site which claims the guard will fit the 07 - 09 models. But this contradicts the rad guard site, which is implicitly claiming that the 09 will not fit the 07/08 model.

Rad guard also make a guard for the 06/07 ZX10 (which is the equivalent of the 07/08 ZX6), but I can only assume that the radiators in the 10s are bigger.

Does anybody know if there is a product, and if not what makes the 07/08 so different from other models that rad guard don't provide a solution?

If I can't find a solution, would I be better of buying one of them and modifying it or just making my own to begin with?
