Requesting Mechanic Recommendations for a Bimota and an Aprilia

    Wot ho chaps and chapettes!,

I own a '00 Bimota SB8R Special and a '99 Aprilia RS250, and I'm hoping someone can point me at the best mechanics in town for each.
I'd rather not trust them (especially the Bim) to anyone that doesn't work on them regularly. I'm aware that both powerplants Kwak, but I'd still rather send them to a surgeon, not a vet.

I'm also seeking somewhere that does custom bodywork in high grade carbon fibe (i.e. the real loadbearing stuff, not the junk you stick on to look ninja), and somewhere that does custom machining/parts.

Any recommendations would be most appreciated! Thank you kindly,

    J

You mean Suzuki? the Aprilia is more Suzuki based than a direct copy although a lot of parts are interchangeable. Might be worth asking about the Aprilia in the two stroke section, as the SB8R was only ever imported in quantities of one (for ADR purposes) you will be pushing proverbial up hill with a pointy stick to find someone who works on them regularly.

Damn, how can I make a rockin' pun involving ducks with Suzuki? I suppose I could do something about keys and either locksmiths or burglars, maybe the Tower of London? Pants, I'll need to think about this one.
You're quite right of course, both Suzuki engines. I might be able to get away with a Suzuki mechanic for the Prila, but the Bim is another matter. Ta for the tip, I'll mosey on over to the creche and ask about my baby bliss.

I know there used to be a place called Thoroughbreds that specialised in the rarer Italian stuff. I first saw the SB8RS in there, fell hopelessly in love with it on the spot. They've been gone for years but I was hoping maybe their lads have resurfaced elsewhere...

Ta for the Pro-Twin lead Potato, I'll check them out and tell them you sent me ;D

Neil doesn't like fiddly bikes. And since he can pick and choose... he will.
