not to sure what the nut attaches to
epoxy glue might work but the strength might not be there

you could try a well nut or you might have to drill it out and get a rivit nut installed

    welding is also an option
    hope this helps

    helicoil
    or thread repair

Not sure what size the bolt is, but for $20 you can get a one size kit here on ebay
HELICOIL TYPE THREAD REPAIR KIT M6 x 1.00mm | eBay

    more details here
Heli-Coil | HeliCoil Inserts | Helicoils Screw Thread Inserts | Helicoils | Emhart Teknologies

or if you dont want to go on line. Go to a Fasterners shop they sell them, and you can probably buy them individually. I usually go to Searl Fasteners in Willeton. he will sell you individual nuts and bolts etc. so might get an individual helicoil.

But you will probably need to take the frame off for that, depending on access.

Other thing you could try if it isnt really load bearing. Get some plumbers thread tape and wrap the bolt in that, should give you enough to hold it in place. (backyard helicoil). Or as they like to do in Indonesia where I work in these situations is just get threadlock and use that in lieu of a helicoil

Is this the small metal tab on the back of the subframe ?

Can you just get a longer bolt and put a nylock nut and washer on it ?
Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

All we know is he's Hewie.

If it's just a nutsert type fitting and it's spinning in the tab then use a new bolt and a stack of washers and fit washers to new bolt and tighten to the nutsert. A nutsert works by compressing a section of the tube around both sides of the tab much like a rivet.

by tightening a new bolt and washer set you are compressing the center of the nutsert to the tab, may be all it needs. Don't over tighten as you will strip the nutsert thread.
