    throttle return spring possibly

Riding to work this morning i gave it a good blast on the freeway on ramp. I tried to slow by letting go of the throttle. No response it moves with a bit of extra pull but its sticky and doesnt return. Bike is 05 gsxr600

any ideas on how to fix it i am cheap so i need to do it myself.

is it the return spring or something different.

    Lube the throttle cables.

Open the switch block next to throttle, pop the cables out.

WD40 or similar down the guts of the shrouds, work the throttle, WD40, work etc until it frees up.

I'd check for obvious cable routing problems, slacken the tension, see if that helps. Then I'd try cleaning the whole throttle assembly, and lubing the cable. Some cables are self lubing, and lube makes them worse, so make sure what type you have first. If that doesn't do it, tank and airbox off to have a look see.

START SIMPLE.............First thing to check is grips sticking on bar ends...if it is that, trim grip back a little, then work through throttle system as stated above
