    Hamster,
Haven't seen any sort of data logging capacity on it but there’s a few Bluetooth transmitters available to suit iphones and a like that would allow to log data in real time, some even allow you to use the wideband O2 sensors

The GPS track combined with the data logging looks pretty cool

I bought the link from here for bugger all...

USB Vag-Com OBD-2 Scantool VW Audi Seat Skoda OBD2 W42: eBay Motors (item 180521858067 end time Aug-16-10 00:48:40 PDT)

I hooked up the laptop and accessed the bikes map. It is a similar process to that for a PC3. I was hoping to be able to adjust the fuel level so it doesn't read empty with 5 litres left, but i can't work out how.

Played with this at the weekend and it worked fine with my $10 chinese VAG cable. Couldn't find anything for fuel level but you can change the speedo, balance throttle bodies and do many other very useful things. Downloaded my current tune fine so uploading a new one should easy (fingers crossed). You can even import PCIII maps, unfortunately I can't find one for a CRM 3-1, so if anyone knows where these is one I'd be interested. Go to triumph675.net or triumphrat.net for lots of info.

For those that have got this working, which maps did you download based on your vin number? the ranges they show on the website are nothing like the vin i have for my 2007 Daytona. I'm very confused haha

Vin is a bunch of letters followed by 10667296444

and the site says stuff like 'tune for vin # 294378 to # 323544, or VIN # 323545 to # 381274

    so i have no idea..

Its the last 6 digits of your VIN that are important, and I think you will find its them that they are referring to.
I can't remember the specifics (eg what each of the last 6 digits stand for), but they are the ones that determine the exact model etc of your bike.
When I get home sometime tonight I may be able to find it for you.

Try them both and see which feels the best. Or do a load of searching on the triumph forums to see if anyone has a similar set up.

FWIW the source I'm using is the Triumph NA document called "Triumph Motorcycle VIN Definition Summary". It came from Triumph. I used to work at a dealer, and Triumph faxed us the document. It CLEARLY states that the 11th VIN position is used to designate the Assembly Plant. J = Jacknell Road, Hinkley, England. T = Chonburi, Thailand. There is no indication on this document that indicates that the 11th VIN postition indicates the "market the bike is destined for".

This is what the fields mean:
    POS 1 - 3 Manufacturer
    POS 4 - 6 Model
    POS 7 - Engine
    POS 8 - Power Output
    POS 9 - Check Digit
    POS 10 - Model Year
    POS 11 - Assembly Plant
    POS 12 - 17 - Sequence Production Number

I've just completed my exhaust mod and uploaded the arrow 3-1 tune, switching off the O2 sensor at the same time. It all worked a treat, although I struggled to work out the TPS reset at first. Went for a run Sunday and the bike runs fine, no hesitation, lumpy idle or popping and banging on the over run (a bit of a burble is all, as I'd expect). When the new O2 sensor arrives (long story involving much swearing), I'll fit that and re check the O2 sensor box in TuneECU.

So far a bloody marvelous program as far as I'm concerned.

    Ok,

Questions for those that have used this on their bikes. I set it all up last night on the lappy (correctly afaik), but when i try to open the TOR map i get an error message and TuneECU closes. Should i be able to just open a map without being connected to the bike or not?

last question, where on the bike do i connect the cable?

    cheers

    Brett

Yes you should. I just tried it and opened three different maps, no problem. You can also compare two different maps while not plugged.

The connector is under the seat at the front on my ST3R. I assume It will be in a similar spot on the Daytona.

Cool, It's a long shot but I found their was a conflict between the wireless broadband card I was using and tune ecu. Ended up unplugging the USB modem, rebooting laptop and away it went ?
