What should I do about my break lever...

    Hi,

I find the brake lever on my Ducati 848 is a bit of a stretch..
Should I get an after market brake lever?
If so can anyone recommend a brand name or model?

    Cheers,
    Jack

What do you mean, a bit of a stretch?
It's too far away for your fingers?

Adjustable levers, like ASV's, will help.

The Duc already has adjustable span levers.
If they aren't going in far enough, something is wrong.

sure, pay double what you need to, but it will have a ducati logo somewhere, so that's ok
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

I hear you Jack, my old levers were too far away and massively massive (and I have big hands too, if you know what I mean). After market levers fixed my 'picky, must be in an exact spot' attitude.

Seriously, something is wrong if you have XL hands and can't get the levers adjusted properly.
I'm not having a dig or saying something is wrong with you per se, just something is wrong.
You sure you're adjusting them correctly?
You know if they come too close to the bar it'll hit the bar and, um, not work, right?

I have no other recommends but the Pazzo's suited me fine. Good manufacture and fit. I'm still happy even if I did blow 200 rods on levers, which was silly but essential at the same time.

I have normal hands, I was just talking myself up...

okay the 2 photo's show the lever pulled in fully and let out all the way..
I still think they are too far out (and yes they are adjusted to the closest setting)
