G'day all, bought a new tire off bikebiz and need to get it fitted some where for a good price. I also want to get my front brake pads changed out. Recommendations? Prefer sor but let me know :-)
Thanks in advance, Mick

Depends on your definition of a good price.
SOR - Tyres For Bikes in Vic Park
NOR - 2 Wheel Wreckers in Osborne Park will do it IIRC

Pads will set you back $150, then fitting costs on that, or did you buy them cheaply when you got your tyre? Why not do them yourself, simple enough
Edit - Took out the word Brake as a dodgy link was put in to Car/Truck pads

I'm living in Perth now. I hit up tyres for bikes and they're closed today so I'll have another go tomorrow. I don't have a stand for the front of my bike so I thought it'd be easier to get someone else to do it. Although the price of a stand will probably equal the labour costs. I've got a service manual and I'm sure I'd be capable, Is there a way to safely prop the front of the bike without a stand?
Also I thought $50 is a reasonable price if I take the bike in and they pull the wheel off. My tools are still in Bunbury :-(
a car jack can be used . jack up the front wheel
I just had the rear tyre done in Busso at Down South Motorcycles on the Vulcan (the local kwaka dealer). $249 for the Michelin tyre and $44 to fit DIDO to the cruiser. Bloody good value IMHO - especially as we normally have the 'Busselton surcharge' down here for everything. Did it before lunch for me, did a good job and even called me to say he thought he may not have nipped up a bolt properly (called before I got home and wife took the call), swung around and he fixed it on the spot. Was only a retainer bolt but that's good service. They have a new sales guy Frank who is a bloody legend too, top fella.
Can't argue with $44! I moved to Perth and went up the hill and seen Sandra aka Stoneville. Her and her partner were great and done my bike straight away =) Highly recommended!
I strapped the handlebars to a ceiling rafter too - didn't really trust the car jack on its own.
You can get front wheel stands cheaply too if they'll fit your bike.
