I need a couple of things for the Hornet and want to go Carbon Fibre. I was wondering how people were going with the stuff they bought from the last CF group buy from http://www.geelongcarboncraft.com.au/
I remember hearing mixed reports about these guys.

Anybody else know a good CF parts supplier we could hit up?

Geelong CC dont have bits for the Hornet Anyways. I need a rear hugger and some side fairings. A CF rear grab handle would be cool too.

Last CF group buy here: http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/forum/inde...1175&hl=Geelong

I would, but all the stuff on their website appears to be for the RSV Mille (98-03) bikes rather than for the RSV1000R (04+).

Plus, their prices seem more expensive than what I can get elsewhere.

Unless discounting was pretty big, I'd not be interested, as $480 for a hugger and $480 for a front guard is crazy.
No amount of genius can overcome a preoccupation to detail.

The CF I have on the zx10 are from Powerbronze. They are nicely made.

I do need a few more bits too. I have a rear and front hugger and have yet to come chain guard and belly pan. I go to work to throw money at my bikes.

(Notice how I said NEED.. )
222 Loctite doesn't taste too bad.

    Hey Rooster,

About the only problem I had with Geelong carbon craft was the way they handled my complaint regarding the hugger I bought. As far as I know everyone else hasnt had a problem with their stuff. I know my front guard and bellypan are still going strong and look bloody good. So while their customer service wasnt the greatest I am still very happy with the actual product.

Doesnt help you though since they dont have stuff for the hornet...

Sounds like your hornet is going to be off the charts once you go through with all these mods. Had any luck finding a 929 front end yet?

    Kris

EDIT: Maybe contact austreetfighter.com.au about what parts they can get for the hornet? They have a carbon fibre skidmarx hugger listed for your bike for a start. They are usually very helpful and will normally give a discount for multiple item purchases

Thanks mate, still going, am looking at the pyramid plastics one in th eUK, Powerbronze have one but its outrageously expensive and is in the UK as well. No joy on the 929 forks yet, even Ebay dont seem to have much. 954 or 929 i dont care, come the Uni Holidays ill get stuck into looking for some.

Good call, i think ive got that issue somewhere! Gotta say tho, theyve fucked that Hornet up last time i saw it with the vertical indicators mounted where the grab handle should be. Anyway, i'll go look.

Ive seen a Carbon Fibre grab handle on a Hornet too, that'll look trick, just gotta find the fucker.
