EOI: Bagster Tank Covers

Hi Guys,

There is only one australian dealer i can find
Aussie Biker Shop: Bagster

Prices are around $250 + postage for a baster tank cover.
However i have been able to source them for $120AUD - non discounted (advised of substantial discounts if quantities are high enough)

So with GST and Duty on the price i can get per unit max is $150 + Postage .. So i'm expecting around $160 to $180 per unit maxmium - will get cheaper depending on orders, which i need to get a idea about with a EOI poll.

If we get over 20 orders my supplier said he is able to put a rush status on the order so we can get them made in 2 weeks opposed to 4 weeks.
Also will give us a 20% discount on the forementioned prices in the previous email.

Time Frame:
This is the major hirdle, they take 3 weeks to make, as each are hand made and treated. With postage we can expect a 6 week delay from point of order.

Bikes
The bagster range supports almost all bike models i have found, however i will need a system to organise and take orders to ensure no mistakes are made. I plan to do as i did with my paintball and supra group buys. Make a simple order form via a html form, which will be emailed to me, and will generate a order id for each person. This will ensure no mistakes are made in the order/payment process.

Postage:
Will be insured and sent via Air mail Royal mail.

Payments:
There will be a 20% deposit on orders, then final payment just prior to shipping.

Expected Timeframe: (subject to change)
--/07 to 20/07 EOI Poll
21/07 to 31/07 Take Deposits on Orders.
01/08 Place order with supplier
15/08 to 22/08 Start collecting full payments
23/08 Products paid in full with supplier, and items posted to aus.
03/09 Package arrives in customs
04/09 Broker paid to take care of duty, gst, and postage to me in Mindarie.
05/09 Open my doors for pickups
06/09 Deliveries made to who requested it.
15/09 If req, refunds will be given to people, however they will have to still pay Postage back to supplier, and the Duty/Gst Fees.

Please note - we have more colors available than whats listed on the bagster site. Also different finishes such as Matte Black and Glossy for example.

Also fitting is really a non issue, however i will dedicate my time to install them upon pickup if you would like.

I'm pretty sure it is just for the tank cover, the bag would be done as a seperate GB.....

Prices are a rough estimate at the moment, but it is the maximum per unit price. For example if we can get more than 40 people i have secured a 20% further discount. Also if i can avoid the duty/gst by using multiple orders if the maths add up you can reduce it by a further 25%.

The issue we have with selling the covers with the bags is the following.

The tank covers can be combined into one package very efficiently, and the more orders we get the cheaper per unit it gets dramatically. However with bags, they dont scale in the same amount as the tank covers because of the nature of the items. So the bags would inflate the postage of the tank covers considerably, and in turn people buying just tank covers would end up paying postage for people who wanted bags.

So i plan to make another GB for bags also, also since bags are already in stock it will be alot easier.

Also incase anyone is wondering, time frame....
The above outline is worst case senario as i see it. If we get over 20 units we can have a rush status put on the account meaning they will take alittle over 10 working days to be made apposed to the above.

I'm be requesting a poll shortly once i let our lovley staff member know the options i need.

They hook under the tank via elasticated straps, dead easy. Hope this GB gets off the ground!
