As per my thread a few people have asked how much my bike lift cost me.

I rang the guys I got mine from and asked if they would organise us a deal on them and they came back with this.

    1000 pound lift - $585
    850 pound lift - $450

The lifts are made locally and are foot operated (not run on a compressor)

They weight about 200kgs each though so you really need a couple of mates to help you get them home.

They are on wheels so once set up can be moved around by one person quite easily.

Heres the thread so you can see the sort of thing Im talking about.

    Bike Lift Here

If your interested in getting one .. please post in here. Please dont post if you cant afford one. The price is up there.

You will have to arrange pick up yourself.

These arnt a commercial workshop lift ... but they are a good quality cheap lift for home use.

Any questions please let me know.

    Cheers

    Hewie

Im thinking 200 - 400 Shipping based on the weight and size of the stands.

I'd much rather try and support the local boys though. It works out better in the long run.

Edit - Shipping would have to be less than $ 165 on the 800 and $215 on the 1250 to be worth considering bringing them over.

    shipping quote for 800lbs = $80, for 1250lbs = $120

good value I say. $445 or $535 delivered to your door for air over hydraulic. maybe the wa guy should get a bit keener.

Have to agree with Q. I'm all for local businesses, but the WA premium seems a bit high on this one.

Agreed, but you get what you pay for. The locally manufactured lifts have been around for a few years now and there have been no complaints that I'm aware of. I look at lifting capacity in dollars being lifted and an extra few bucks to be 100% sure your $20k investment isn't going to end up on its side on the garage floor is good insurance.

just looking at the advert in just motor bikes the 545kg one looks the same as yours except for the colour. even down to the little yellow safety sticker on the scissor arm. spanner supplies 1300772663 or spanner1@bigpond.net.au

i wouldnt bother. i did my homework when i bought mine and i found the rest to be cheap quality.
if you want cheap then buy the other brand. but when you have problems than good luck in getting it repaired under warranty, especially over east.
