Thanks Tim ...
We've managed to find a supplier in the states who does dual headlight kits.
The kits they know for certain fit ZX6R's (636), ZX10R's, CBR 600 RR's F4i's, RC51. He is quite sure these will work for CBR1000RR's and R6's also. Attached is a picture of the kit. Basically if you have the same plug on the end then it should work for your bike.
The kits require some cutting and splicing of the wires. It makes both side lights have Hi & Low beams. They use blue tinted Xenon filled bulbs (Non HID) but very bright producing a Bright White light. Like 4500 to 5000 Kelvin brightness like daylight. The higher the number, the bluer the light; the lower the number, the yellower the light.
So if you have a single light and want dual then please post up if you want a kit. They sell for $80USD so depending on numbers that will be our worst price. I have a copy of the instructions to fit these to a ZX6 for you to see how its done 2 posts down.
cheers

Bump
Can I get picky and ask if he can supply us with or without globes?
I would probably look at getting my own globes.

Yeah I thought bout that so I could put HID's in but given these globes run similar I am just getting standard.
I am sure they'll accommodate![]()
If it'll work on a Ninja 250 count me in with half a bar.
I did this mod on my 06 CBR1000rr and then changed it back the same night.
Most of these bikes the mod is for (or at least the blade I did it on) are designed for the second headlight to be the high beam. Unless you modify the housing as well, your new twin headlight system is going to look like it is on high beam, constantly angled in peoples eyes...

want.
I used to have a nice sig offering to shadow ppl. Now I have no sig...
seems like good value for $10 worth of relay and wire and crimp fittings that are doomed to failure in the long run, unless of course, two globes are $70 worth. Now you have the instructions, go buy the bits from jaycar, solder your joins and do a better job for less.
for those that didnt get it, that first line was sarcasm

yeah I've thought about doing that ... even you could make these for us while doing nothing on night shift![]()
