EOI - group buy on leathers

Hey all.

I am after a 2 piece suit with hump. Is anyone else interested in this?

The last GB for draggins that i suggested went down really well (thanks to Jono at Chapmans) and i cannot see any reason why if we get enough people together, we shouldnt be able to get an equally good deal on race suits, beit 1 or 2 pieces.

Obviously these prices are going to be cheaper than retail, so check out what you want and sizes and then post up here. If you have the cash available for a full priced suit in a couple of weeks then thats cool as this is how long these things take but dont post if you are not gonna have the cash until Christmas

Again please only post if you are serious and also please post if you are interested. Dont leave it until the last moment after all the price haggling has been done and then jump on the band wagon to get a suit as with what happened with the Draggins.

EOI's will close on 1 March 2006 and then I will approach the relevant peeps at the shops to see what kind of prices we can get with the numbers.

I'm looking at buying a one piece at the mo, so would be interested but was thinking second hand on e-bay.

I've been told that Joe Rocket are american cut (suit fat people) while the european suits fit a thin build better. I'm a skinny bastard....

Check these guys out, they are an australian company who do very good quality suits 1 or 2 peice.
They also do custom fitting with or without the race hump. Great price too. www.underdog-leathers.com

I am definately interested. I want a 2 piece suit but I need a custom fit for my lanky arse. I quite like the Underdog Leather range and really like their prices. I'm pretty sure my brother would be interested as well. So you have definately 1, maybe 2 people more for this.

Have you had a look at Scorpion Race Gear. I think for about $700 you can have a custom made 2 piece. A couple of people on here have bought from them and reckon they are pretty good quality.

remember Collins doing discounts for racers, and they do make nice suits. If we were after a few could maybe work out a deal with them as well

I like the scorpion 1 piece sets, but i think you'd have more luck getting a quote and seeing who pops up out of the woodwork for the buy (which is harder i know because then you dont have numbers)

apparently they have just finished designing a new suit which is superior to the design that appears on their website. It has greater flexibility and better ventilation = more comfort, plus it has double layers for your arse and other vunerable areas. The new suit is $900 off the rack

Yeah i said I would close the EOI's on the first of March. I understand some say get prices first but the problem with that is is that discount is always dependant on numbers. In a GB you are 99% sure that you are gonna get a better price than from a shop buying one suit unless you have contacts.

So i figure I am serious about gettin a suit and am gonna get one regardless, and I am sure there others that may fall into this category, so put your name down and then i'd call the guy with pretty much guaranteed orders and he can work his margins on that.

I hate calling and saying yeah, i have a GB going, first question, oh yeay, how many you reckon....... and i hate saying well i dont know.. could be one could be 50....

in saying that he has mentioned 20% of his retails prices so now peeps have something to work on... Nice work
