Just wondering if anyone else out there is interested in a group buy for this kit, I'm thinking there won't be as a lot of people look to upgrade asap off the 2fiddy, I've been speaking to Paul from Tyga and he has said that depending on the numbers for each state he would work out a price.
Failing that we can work the Group Buy through BComponents and Chris may have a better deal going on.

From Paul from Tyga from the cbr250rr site:
Snowman95Here are some more details:
1. The stock subframe can be retained complete. We only recommend that it is modified. It is up to you. We say this for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the two lugs which are used to attach the side pieces on the stock fairing behind the rider position are not needed and get in the way when fitting the seat cowling. It can be done if you are only going to remove it once a year or so and are careful not to snag the cowling on anything. You don't need to grind the lugs off in any case; you could bend them out of the way and then bend them straight later when you sell the bike. They won't look perfect but will do their job
The other parts we took a grinder to were the footpeg hangers and we did this for purely cosmetic reasons. The stock passenger hangers are ugly there is nowhere to retract them now. Most riders will be learners and can't carry passengers so won't need them cluttering up the bike (must weigh about 1% of the whole bike's weight too!) You can just as easily leave all this on and even leave the subframe painted silver but it will detract slightly from the clean rear end.

2. The headlight unit uses its own bulbs supplied and the illumination is at least as good if not better than stock. You just plug it into the connector. Same with the indicators and the taillight
3. Price will be put up on website as soon as I have all the costings worked out. It will be significantly cheaper than the 400 kits (the RVF kit with fender is around $1400US) We have made the kit in such a way that it should suit all budgets, you can either order the upper fairing set only, the tail cowling set only, both sets, both sets with the lowers and/or with the front fender. All the parts will fit independently so you can order as funds allow. Remember though that the box we send it in may weigh the same as the contents so shipping as much in one go will save money there.
4. Riding our bike today made me realise another obvious benefit and that is better streamlining. The fairing really works to stop buffeting and should be good for a higher top speed. Maybe we should make a race version, would that comply with the rules?
Paul - TygaWell I'm definately in, although you did state a couple of times that group buys would be location based (hopefully Im wrong) to save on shipping, I don't think that there will be enough Perth buyers to support a gb here (hopefully Im wrong again)
Once you have pricing sorted out and you specify the group buy conditions?
Cheers
Paul - TygaThanks for the feedback.
The group buy thing is there to help the buyer and the seller, so sorry, yep, we need to send to just one address or there's not much advantage to us over just taking individual orders. Hopefully, there will be more people in Perth interested.
Seat cowling;I know it sounds a bit strange now that we have a 250 learner bike seat cowling complete with a seat pad but no pegs! Ok, here is the logic: We need to make a street seat cowling with the most universal appeal. We have basically redesigned the stock unit without taking anything away (unless you want to take the pegs away that is) We thought about making it single seater only, but then you lose some customers in markets where it isn't a learner bike (like on my personal bike LOL) and you lose the useful luggage space. There is no cost saving one way or the other and the design wasn't compromised so we left it on. Now, not too way in the future, we may have a go at making a seat hump which replaces the passenger seat pad but we need to shift some stock first to prove there is a market. Finally, a race only unit which has no luggage compartment is planned but this won't have lights and I wouldn't hold your breath given the lead in time on this and pressing other projects.
On the prices, still not there yet but expect a complete set shipped to Australia for just over $1000. This includes front guard and lowers. Upper fairing set shipped for aroud $500 and seat set for just over $400. These are estimates and may change a little
Awaiting further informationShipping to the UK is a little more than Australia but only around 20$. We can give 30% off group buys as long as there is:
1. One payment
2. One shipping address
3. one contact person
Sound fair?
