    Thumbs down

Ok Peoples, here is the deal,

    The Chains:
After speaking to a few different people, and getting prices for the chains, it is as follows.....
    DID520VMGOLD - $100, or for those who want/need something a bit stronger (Possibly 1000cc+)
    DID520ZVMGOLD - $165
For those that were looking for 530 chains, they will be $165

Just so you are aware, if we had gone for the DIDERV3 chains, they would have been $200+

    Sprockets:
The best price we were able to get was for Renthal Sprocket sets, Steel front, Hard Anodised Rear. Due to the sprocket sets ranging in price from $90-$110 depending on the bike etc, this will have to be dependant on the individuals choice. There is no options on colour, as the hard anodising process makes it a specific colour (I'm trying to find out what the colour is)
AFAM Sprockets can be supplied as an option, but as they aren't within the GB parameters, they will be more expensive.

    How it will work
To get this GB going, I will require a deposit of $50 from those who wish to take part. The individuals will need to post up their bike make, model, year, sprocket choices and include whether they want the DID520VM, or the DID520ZVM chain. Upon posting up their details, I will send the individuals a PM outlining my banking details.
This GB will be open until the 25th August, at which point I will contact the shop, put in the order, and await confirmation of the parts arriving. At that point I will post up who and where people need to go to pay the rest of the money, and pick up their stuff. Please be aware, the shop providing this for us will have a list of the people involved in it. If you aint on the List, you don't get the stuff.

    In Summary
Conversions will cost a maximum of $210 for up to 750cc Bikes, and may cost up to $275 for greater than 750cc Bikes, depending on your chain choice. You require a $50 deposit to partake in this fine GB. For it to be successful, we need a minimum of 10 people involved, to get these prices on the chains.

If you have any questions, PM me, and I will answer for you. All i would like to see on this list is the bike info of those involved.....

    Cheers

according to alot of people, afam.

520 chains are lighter, less rotating mass and almost as strong if maintained

i think the major advantage to your street guys is that you can have almost any combination of teeth for your sprockets... if the are noticing the lighter less rotating mass on the street then their talents are wasted!!!

Ive heard afam are the shizzle too, I had a set of AFAM bars on the MXer, and I gave em hell with only a minor bend on one side.

    im reconsidering choosing afam.

Renthal and AFAM are THE SAME identical sprocket from 2 different companies. Both are made from the same series alloy, both are annodized by a comany that works to the same ISO / SAE specifications.

From memory the Renthal is a cold (hard) annodise, where as the AFAM is not (not that the hard annodise makes a squat of diff imho, cause that is mostly broken down in a thousand or so kms in spots). I run AFAM on the SP-2, cause i got a heap of em from Honda off thier race bike CBR-1000's , and i run Renthal on my CBR's , both race and stunt bike.

    Same shit.
