    GB: Etymotic earplugs

Mods feel free to move this into group buy as i can't post this in there but have received permission to post up from blackfzr

anyway, me and a coupla mates are getting together to get some etymotic earplugs.

I vaguely remember a group buy on here a while ago and i thought since we're getting a few pairs, i might as well open it up to psb to see if any others want in.

i've emailed the seller and he has given me some prices depending on how many i buy

    4-7 $15.50/pair
    8-10 $13.80/pair
    11-15 $12.60/pair
    16+ $11.60/pair

I'm looking at buying them pretty soon so i'll leave this open till friday until i place the order.

Please let me know if you want in and how many pairs you'd like. Currently i'm placing an order for 6 so as it stands its $15.50 a pair..but the more people who are in, the less it will cost.

As i am closing this on friday, i'll need the money in my account asap...so...it has to be in my account on monday for me to place the order.

PM me for bank details and to confirm how many you want.

    Cheers

    Andy

I dont want to shit on the thread or state the obvious but have you tried these or had good reviews from riders.

I have a pair of 150 buck earplugs with stuff all sticking past the ear but getting the helmet on and off with them in is hard and can be painful.

Even though you have probably considered this or even tried it I thought I better give you a quick heads up just in case.

I have a pair i sometimes use for concerts and thought the same thing with them sticking out of the ear further than normal plugs - so I tried them with my helmet and they were fine. was comfy as any other ear plug I have used. Different helmets and head shapes may have an issue but they are really flexible and at that price probably worth a try (I paid double that for mine 12 months ago).

I've got some Etymotic Attenuators. They're good, BUT depending on helmet design they may stick out and be pressed further into your ear canal than is strictly comfortable. As far as sound levels, they're great, as they attenuate sound, meaning they don't cut frequencies, they just lower them. Things sound crystal clear through them.

One point to note is they can be a bit difficult to keep clean, as you need the inner chamber clear of anything for them to work properly. (meaning you can't immerse them in water)

i've got a pair, used them for rehearsal rooms and gigs (and sunn0))) concert :0) but not on my bike. they're very good and have heard reports from others that 200$+ molded plugs really aren't much better.

    Payment sent for 2 pairs.

Was just wondering whether the blue ones would be more suitable for me.. Are anyone else getting the blue ones?
