ICON Group Buy - CONFIRMED ORDERS ONLY

    Ok

As per the other thread Im going to do a GB on ICON products.

This thread is for CONFIRMED ORDERS ONLY ... please dont post in here for a quote unless you want to purchase.

I will leave this open till Fri 31st Jul ... at which time I will close the thread and finalise the order. Once Ive done that Ill be able to work out shipping and final costs for everyone.

Please note that I will do everything possible to reduce the costs however any taxes/duties/levies etc are the responsibility of the people who ordered the items.

I will update this post in a bit with the confirmed orders so far.

Please ensure that I have the full and correct details for you order including Sizes/Colours/Styles.

I cant do a quote on shipping without sizes as that affects weights.

Once I have all the final prices I will post bank details. I have worded up the supplier and they are going to try and have the order on hand to try and reduce delivery time.

    Cheers

    H

EDIT - Heres the confirmed orders so far. Please check the details CAREFULLY as this will be the list I send off to the US.

    Updated - 30 Jul 09

Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

All we know is he's Hewie.

So you're going to place the order, get charged for it then break the prices down for us?

Either way, Hewie, you know I'm in all the way. Just let me know what I owe you. Cheers.

Does anyone know exactly what ICON's sizes are like for jackets ??
I've been reminded so many times to be very careful about the variation in some manufatured sizes that I thought it'd be wise to ask.

For Alpinestar I'm a 44 US (54 or something EUR)

Anyone have any idea how accurate either brand is to "true" sizes ?
I'm signed up for a Large jacket and just thought I'd check it before orders are made

    Dun .. all updated.

Basically I have divided the order up into 4 cartons of about $700 per carton.

I will get shipping costs for each carton .. then prorata the shipping for everyone.

This way we shouldnt hit any snags

On friday Ill send off the list for final shipping quotes and then post up bank details and the other stuff for everyone.

    Cheers

Rightyo, I've just found out I'm going to have a considerable reduction in cash that can be thrown around this month

For the moment I'm still in. But, if the shipping cost is high it may be out of my price range.

Doing my best to hang in on this group buy, and really really really wanting the new jacket.

Please let me know when all the shipping costs have been calculated up.

Yeah I've had somewhat of a reduction in cash flow too, can you remove my order for the automag pants, still keen for the jacket though, it's worth not eating for.

Do you guys understand what a CONFIRMED ORDERS ONLY means?

The hassle involved in a group buy is huge and the outlay in funds not insignificant. To have people in then out, in then partly in, in but dependant on shipping... it's just plain fucking rude.
Save Hewie the trouble next time and either put the funds aside when you say you want in or stay out of it. It saves the rest of us the grief, too, when the order gets cancelled cos there was too much fucking around.

I know, but sometimes shit hits the fan and all costs that have been posted are EST. So if these fly up by 100 then I'm royaly screwed unless I can talk a mate/parents into a loan.

As I've stated, I'm still in, I just though it better I give as earlier warning as possible to those that are in on the buy. Instead of waiting till the very end and bailing.

Updated 30 Jul 09 - PLEASE CHECK YOUR ORDER CAREFULLY.

Last days folks. I will be sending it off tomorrow for shipping quotes.

I have based the calcs on .78/.79 AUD/USD .... I got .81 yesterday on a heap of gear so the price should hopefully go down a tad.

I have divided the order into a number of parcels. I estimate that shipping should be about $65 - $80 per parcel which will work out to about 11.5 cents on the dollar value. ie if you have $500 in a parcel your share of shipping will be $57.5

These are only very rough estimates. I wont know until Saturday what the real pricing is.

    Cheers
