ive got me one of these, just wondering if the euro maps for d/l work fine here?
Should work fine (I have a euro map on the ER6) but some dyno time with a tuner is the ideal solution.
Russell at Dynotime tuned my Suzuki, very pleased.
difference? compatability? wha?
2009 blade dynojet
2008 blade dynojet

The Dynojet PCV has been brought out on competition with the Bazzaz & Motty Fuel systems, which allow auto regulating of your fueling levels based on AFR.
To use the Dynojet PCV to its full potential, you also need to purchase the patented Dynojet Autotune, which has currently only been designed for Harley Davidsons. Otherwise, the PCV is just a smaller, more compact PCIII, only available for 2009 + model bikes. Currently there is no information available on the Dynojet Website for the PCV's and Japanese bikes, only Harley Davidsons......

and compatible with the 08 blade I'm guessing?... no real changes in the 09 from the 08.
Better to have pcv (smaller pcIII) that can later be added to amirite?

At the moment the PC V isn't available for Japanese bikes, only Harleys..... It is planned for them though...... See here..... as per one of the site sponsers......

I've already expressed interest... just curious on the timing. When does the EOI close and how long after do you reckon before a quote is supplied?
Cheers.
Just wondering if it is necessary for a dyno after fitting a PCIII?
It's not strictly necessary, you can download a 'near enough map' from the dynojet website.
BUT!
In my experience you only get a small fraction of the benefit of a dyno tune when you do this. Maybe the downloaded maps are conservative to prevent damaging the odd bike or maybe they are just crap to keep the dyno tuners in business. I don't know but I'm planning on a custom tune.
If you are putting it on a CBR1000 then chances are someone in Perth has the same mods and their dyno map would be next to good enough. I only got my bike dyno'd because my bike didn;t really have a base map. ALso not many people put PCIII's on a Bandit as the septics use another box from holeshot racing in the US.
So far the PCIII has made the bike run much smoother, I notice occasionally I do get an FI light, but that is probably due to the O2 eliminator.
If you are down south Bunbury Ducati do a good job on the dyno, but if you have a run of the mill race bike I'd grab someone else's tune and save yourself a couple of hundred dollars.
Cheers reddog & Kowalski. Basically just want the bike to run a bit smoother as it seems to be going a tad rich. It'll be going on a GSX-R750 (02) with yoshi pipe which should be common enough.
How much of an effect do these have on fuel consumption? Only a minor consideration for a sportsbike i know, but i'm interested in the answer.
depends on how your bike is running now. My old GSXR 600 was running mega rich so with the PC I got a load more fuel efficiency. The blade on the other hand runs lean at low revs as standard, so after tuning it used alot more fuel.
You can lean it out a bit yourself if you want to achieve better fuel efficiency.
EURO maps are better than american maps, but one of a local bike is preferable.
a dyno tune is not necessary, but can improve fuel economy & power
they take about an hour to install, if you have hotdog fingers
Should restore some lost power then I would imagine
