    Stone Chip Protection Film

Hi everyone. I've just come on board and would like to offer Stone Chip Protection Film for your bike.

I operate out of Perth Graphics Centre in Malaga and offer a professional fitting service.

Unfortunately the film is not going to be supplied on its own. Too many people stuff it up and blame the film.

Cost varies according to the amount of film used and how difficult (read time consuming) each bike is.
The "kit" which is already digitised may or may not fit your bike so sometimes we have to do the job by hand.

As I know I'll be asked, each job will likely cost anywhere between $350 and $600 depending as above.

We can do small part jobs for much less e.g. tank protector only, front fender only and so forth. PM me if you need more info or call Perth Graphics on 9248 6226.

    Thanks.

How does it go long term? I only ask because I saw some type protection film a couple of years ago on a mate's GSXR. After about 18 months though it started to get a bit opaque.

    What's it like to remove?

Can't comment on his film however this film is guaranteed to stay clear and not even go yellow (assuming you don't do something stupid like clean it with a solvent).
It doesn't have a UV filter or the paint undrneath will fade differently to the paint around it but it does keep the paint in great condition underneath.
I wouldn't want to put it on a bodgie paint job though. It will likely stick to the paint better than the paint sticks to the primer! If the bike is new or close to new, it should be fine. Just wax and wash as normal.
    Don't polish it.
All these aspects are covered when we start discussing an individual job.

The film is made by VentureTape out of the US and we haven't been able to find anything better.

There are people offering just the film and fitters who don't have any idea of what they are doing.

I've teamed up with OziCozi because they provide great technical backup and have given me good training.
    Cheers.

Sorry, forgot to add... The film can be removed cleanly in most cases. If some adhesive is left behind, you can use an adhesive remover and that will do the trick. Some will leave the film on when they sell the bike (added selling point) and others will take it off to show off the great paint condition (See, it looks like new!). No problems with removal but it won't fall off!

I believe 3M make a flexible film (around 1-1.5mm thick from memory) for headlights that is very good and not butt ugly like most headlight protectors, can you find out if it's available in Oz?

FYI, we have used the 3M product and have chosen what appears to be a better product for a number of reasons. This film is clear, no orange peel and easier to work with. Being "easier" is a relative term. It's not easy, period. PM me with regard to graphics please. I am in Bunbury today all day so won't respond until maybe tomorrow. If anyone needs info in a hurry, please call Perth Graphics on 9248 6226. Cheers.

I got this VentureSheild film put on the tank and tops of each side fairing on my CBR1000RR last week by Tony at Perth Graphics Centre ( tteksep ). It took a while because he had to do it by hand because the digitally cut ones were too small for what I wanted. All up it is a top job, and you can hardly see it. I polished and waxed the bike afterwards, and the shine level is the same between paint and the film. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to preserve their paintwork. If anyone wants to have a look at it on the bike, just let me know.

You need to fix ya web page - the 'category' links across the top are not the same as the category links down the side and take you to blank pages

Do you deal in the 3M diamond reflective tapes or sheets?

Sorry guys. Have been distracted with work so I hope the answers below will help out:

Matte Film in Clear only is available. There are no colours in Ventureshield film of any type. The film was designed to be almost invisible, so colours defeat the purpose.

Our website needs work and will always be a work in progress. That's the way this site design works. That said, feedback is always appreciated.

Diamond Grade Reflective is available but we need more info on requirements. We don't sit on stock due to the cost but we can order as required (as long as the request is for an existing product type). We do keep some Yellow Fuoro DG in stock as it is used on mine sites and other places where hi-vis is a necessity.

Ventureshield is not a replacement for paint and neither is vinyl. There are severe limitations with self adhesive products. Try wrapping some aluminium foil around a cricket ball without getting any creases in it and you'll get some idea. Additionally, unless the surface is in good condition, we're just asking for trouble trying to get self adhesive products to adhere. We've had some people ask us to wrap car roofs (rooves?) with vinyl so they can hide hail damage. No can do. Vinyl follows the surface.

The Aprilia RS kit has a lot of pieces in it and is very fiddly to do. It is worse in fact than many cars. $500 should cover it but I can't see it being any less. I need to have the model and kit confirmed. E-mail sent.

0418 922 235 if anyone has any questions you want a verbal answer to. Cheers.

So far have had 3 bikes done and can't recommend it highly enough! Tony sells some really good products and has a bit of an obsession for detail, needless to say he'll have any future vehicle's before I do.

    Thanks Tony.

Cheers Wildcard. I've just had word that 3M who now sell Ventureshield will be moving the manufacture to a new state of the art plant and before too long will have a new 3M branded product out. I believe existing stocks will be exhausted before we see any of the new stuff. Regardless, the old stuff is excellent and we've done quite a number of vehicles lately with no issues. Our latest job is a BMW R1200RT straight from the showroom to our place. In fact we've had the bike longer than the owner!

How've you found the C1 on the plastics? Can you see any difference? We've had very good results but just got a rap over the knuckles for selling it direct. We can no longer sell this or C5 Wheel Armour direct to end users. Licensed applicators only.

We've just put a bike lift in to make things easier as well. My knees are stuffed so doing the bike at lift height is soooo much easier/better. Am also part way through training a new guy called Dan. He's a bike nut and super fastidious as well. So far so good.
