Wondering if Hewie in all his resourcefulness can source a set of nice 5XL road gloves for about $75 anywhere? Pal and Panther tried, and failed, and then tried again, and haven't got back to me. So I'll assume it's a no-go on their part. I have long fingers, not chunky hands, so that's where my problem lies.

Can pay with plastic straight up if the gloves are available, otherwise a fortnight from Monday I can get the cash spared.

    Cheers. Jon.

Mack1 had some 4X not sure about 5X, real nice with carbon knuckles etc.
I think they were about $105 with discount though.

The 3XL that Pal and Panther had, the glove knuckle was a good 10mm offset from my knuckle, so I'm sure a 5XL would be about right, assuming consistant sizing across brands (yeah right!)

If they're REAL nice, I'm willing to pay for them - took me 4 months to get a pair of boots made due to taking that long to get the sole press in-shop. If the glove fits - grab it!

Gotta hate being on a student budget! $75-$100 is about my limit at the moment. Got other commitments which need taking care of right now. P&P had the 3XL's for $75-$80 which seemed nice enough. I don't fuss over brands too much, but a nice black pair without the carbon knuckles would be nice...

I'll be cruising over to Midland to have a look at Mack1 tomorrow or early next week to see what they have. How does one go about asking for the PSB discount at a store without sounding silly?

    Atleast they're good for something!

Yeah, I know not every store will do it, but ONYERBIKE mentioned that Mack1 had a discount, so I had an interest in asking.

Ok sorry it took me so long. I have been flat out.

    Ok heres what I found ... 5 X ... tough call. Most manufacturers dont go much beyond 2 - 4 X

Now I did find a set of Dririder Racer X that come in a 4XL and that are hopefully bigger in cut than the "race" style gloves.

They are a bit more expensive than the $70 mark you set. RRP is $119.95.

Give Brad a call on 9361 8244 and have a chat. He siad he is happy to get some in for you to try on.

And Im sure he'll look after ya on the price.

Hope this is of some help.

WTF is up with Mbike gloves ne way?? Speaking to a few psb'ers awhile back, and they have the same problem with gloves too small.

For example im 60kg, and have 'average' hands imo, but even XL alpinestars gloves strangle my hands and stump my fingers when i make a fist

We should make 'The Aussie Glove Co'. Made by aussies for aussies... not japs

    rant over, back to work.

I found a set of dririders which just fitted, and with some stretching are starting to get comfortable. They didn't have any CF knuckles on them, but are better than nothing... I kept finding that the CF knuckles were the bit causing the problem with most of the pairs I tried on.

Sorry if you feel you've been messed around Hewie, but didn't hear anything for a while, so assumed they were nigh on impossible to find, but I'll definately be needing a winter pair as the ones I got aren't water-friendly, so I'll give Brad a call when we start heading into the wetter weather again.

    Cheers,
    Jon.

    Im glad you got something.

Dririder do make a set in 5X in a winter glove, so when ur ready shoot down and see Brad about them.
